Shepherd's Heart 5/2/25

We’re approaching one of the many events of the year when I’m proud to say, “This is Good Shepherd at its best!” - our congregation’s annual meeting. I am always energized when we have a Worship Center full of people who care enough about our church to celebrate what we’ve achieved in the past year, hear about the plans for the future, and contribute their ideas and input, all to further God’s kingdom at Good Shepherd.

During Sunday’s meeting, we’ll cover the usual business: hearing from Pastor Tara Beth and her vision for our church, reviewing the financials and approving next year’s spending plan, and discerning three new council members to serve for the following three years. In addition to those topics, we have some exciting things to discuss. One topic that’s on a lot of our minds these days is the upcoming building projects—we’ll review the latest plans and ask for your approval to formally move forward with the $5 million initiative. Equally exciting, our Council will be presenting amendments to our constitution that pave the way for Good Shepherd to create an ordination process - the next step towards commissioning new pastoral leadership in our church.

I hope you have Sunday afternoon set aside to join us. If you’ll be in person for the meeting, grab a boxed lunch in the Café and join us in the Worship Center where we’ll hope to start the meeting around 12:15. If you can’t be with us in person, you can use this ZOOM LINK and join us that way. Whether you’re in person or online, everyone will have the opportunity to ask questions, and members in good standing will vote on these important matters.

Good Shepherd - I’m grateful for you, and I’m looking forward to being with you on Sunday!

Blessings,
Tom Anderson
