Lives of Eternal Impact
You can make an eternal impact today through serving at Good Shepherd, in the community, around the world, or even by working with us on staff. There's always a way to make an impact!
Serve With Our Neighbors
At Good Shepherd, we are passionate about making a difference in our local communities. By partnering with over 25 mission organizations, we share the love of Jesus with the most vulnerable around us. Whether locally or globally, there are many ways you can join us in serving others. Below are a few regular opportunities to get involved and make an impact.

Loaves & Fishes Community Services
Good Shepherd is proud to partner with Loaves & Fishes in the fight to end hunger and transform lives. Serving over 10,000 families weekly, Loaves & Fishes provides essential food and support to our surrounding communities.
Restock the Naperville Market: Join our team a few Wednesday afternoons each year to help restock the shelves in preparation for the in-demand Naperville Market. It’s a great way to serve alongside friends.
Courtesy Patrol at the Aurora Hub: Volunteer on Saturdays throughout the year to provide courtesy patrol during food distribution at the Aurora Hub. This is a meaningful way to connect with our community members facing food insecurity.

Hesed House
Six times a year, Good Shepherd gathers a small, dedicated team to serve at Hesed House's Emergency Shelter program. Together, we provide home-cooked meals to over 200 guests, serving both for the evening and the following day. This is a collaborative effort that involves donating items for meal prep, baking homemade desserts, assembling sack lunches, and preparing food on-site.
By coming together, we show love to some of our community’s most vulnerable members. This is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, or small groups to serve side by side. It’s “fun with purpose” as we make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

DuPage Care Center — Off-site Worship
Every third Sunday of the month, Good Shepherd provides an off-site worship service for residents at DuPage Care Center. Many of the residents are unable to attend church, so we bring worship and joy to them. Musicians, vocalists, and volunteers who can greet and assist with wheelchairs are all welcome to join our team. A few hours once a month can make a meaningful impact in the lives of these residents.

Serve With Our Ministries
Our ministries on Sunday mornings and during special events happen because of our serving teams.
