Christine Rechsteiner

I serve as the Disability Minister at Good Shepherd Church, and I’m passionate about helping every person find belonging and purpose in the body of Christ.

I bring a wide range of experience in Family Ministry—serving all ages from birth through adulthood—as well as nonprofit work supporting individuals with disabilities. Most recently, I served as a Director of Special Needs Ministry, where I had the opportunity to combine ministry leadership and advocacy to help build inclusive, Christ-centered communities.

I’m a graduate of Valparaiso University, where I studied Psychology and Theater/TV Arts. I also hold a Director of Christian Education certification from Concordia University and a leadership certificate from Asbury Seminary. My husband, Eric, and I have been married for 30 years, and we have three young adult children: Alex, Anne, and Jenna.

I’m excited to be part of Good Shepherd and to build on the strong foundation already in place in Disability Ministry. I especially love adapting curriculum so people of all abilities can engage in the same lesson in meaningful ways, and I’m committed to creating spaces where everyone is seen as a co-laborer in Christ.

Outside of ministry, I enjoy theater, live music, and running!
