Craig Parsons
Craig has a bachelor's in piano performance and a master's degree in music composition from DePaul University. Craig has studied with Dan Castellaneta (the voice of ‘Homer Simpson’) at 2nd City. He has spent 30+ years as an orchestra conductor and motivational speaker specializing in developing creativity in personal and business settings.
Work in church service started at age 16, and he has played and spoken at convocations of various denominations all around the country. A published composer, he is also heavily involved with the recording of original sacred works. He has produced many commercial video pieces as well as an award-winning documentary, “Unseen Journey.”
Craig joined Good Shepherd in 2010 years ago as the Director of Traditional Worship. Series development, liturgy, music selection, conducting the Festival Singers, and Festival Orchestra are his main areas of focus.
When asked about a "fun fact", Craig shared with us that giant slalom skiing, reading instructions, and animal husbandry are just a few of the many areas he has no interest in exploring.
