Families at Good Shepherd

Coming Up for GS Kids

Easter Bash
March 21

This event is designed for our families with young children to share in the fun of Easter and remember the resurrection of our Lord and Savior! We will have fun family games in the Activity Center, an egg hunt, a family photo op, as well as share in meaningful worship to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead.  Each family will get a project to take home and do together as we enter into Holy Week.

Easter Bash will be sensory friendly and welcomes ALL families. Our Disability staff will be on hand to provide support when needed, and the sensory room will be available for parents to use with their children when they need a break.

Please look over our Sign Up Genius to see items we need as well as volunteers needed! This is a great opportunity to serve for middle and high school students.

Coming Up for GS Students

Eternal Impact

Our middle school camp (for rising 6th-8th graders) will be happening from June 1-5! Students will have the chance to take part in their favorite activities, share meals together, worship, and learn from God's Word, and serve out in the community.

Adults and high school students are all welcome to serve as leaders. Contact Max Schiewe for more information!

Workcamp

Join us from June 14-20 in Mount Gilead, Ohio for a week of relationship building, spiritual formation and worship, and plenty of WORK! All incoming 9th graders through outgoing 12th graders are welcome to come serve on these vitally important home repair sites.

Participating students can lessen their financial burden by participating in winter and spring fundraisers. Contact Collin Puckett for more information!

Disability Ministry

Easter Bash Buddy Break is a FREE Parents’ day out/respite program where kids with all types of special needs (VIP kids) have FUN, while their parents/guardians get a BREAK.

It is not technically a FULL Buddy Break; it is going to be integrated into our Children’s Ministry Easter Bash event. During this time our VIP kids & their Buddies will have the opportunity to play fun family games in the Activity Center, worship, participate in an egg hunt and listen to an Easter Story. There are no requirements for Buddies (volunteers) or prior experience needed other than a loving heart, open arms, and a willingness to learn!

Our next Buddy Break will be Saturday, March 21st from 9:00-11:00am. Please make a note, this is NOT a full 3 hour event.

We need Buddies! Ages 6th grade and up can join! Please sign up below if you would like to be a buddy.

Email our Disability Ministry Coordinator, Ian Zamora, with any questions!

Current Ministry Curriculum & Resources

We strongly encourage our children, students, and families to use a physical Bible. Age-appropriate Bibles are available year-round for anyone that needs one. Connect with a ministry staff member on Sunday to purchase.

GS Kids

Join our new family text resource to receive one challenge each week to further engage with what your child is learning on Sunday mornings!

Club 45

In our current series, we will be exploring the topic of "joy" by focusing on Paul's words in the book of Philippians.

GS Students

Our current series in middle and high school is "Habits", discussing practical spiritual disciplines that students can use in their day-to-day lives
