FOR OUR NEIGHBORS

Be the Church Beyond Our Walls this Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend is more than just a holiday—it’s an incredible opportunity for Good Shepherd to show up for our neighbors with joy, love, and purpose.

We're partnering with the Naperville Jaycees for the city’s annual Last Fling, and we’re inviting everyone to be part of this meaningful moment.

This is your chance to live out our mission in three powerful ways:

Worship in the Heart of the City

Outdoor Worship on the Main Stage at Last Fling
Sunday, August 31 at 9:30am

There will be NO on-site worship at Good Shepherd that day!

Experience a powerful morning of worship—public, joyful, and centered in downtown Naperville. Let’s lift high the name of Jesus where our neighbors live, work, and gather.

Bring your folding chairs, wear your GS T-shirt, and show up ready to celebrate our faith together as one community.

Volunteers are needed for set-up, greeting, serving, and cleanup.

Volunteer & Make an Impact

Filling needed shifts at Last Fling
Friday, August 29 — Monday, September 1

We’ve committed to providing 50 volunteers to support the Last Fling. These essential roles are assigned by the Naperville Jaycees and help make the entire weekend possible.

Whether you serve for a few hours or a full day, your joyful presence reflects Christ’s love in action.

Walk in the Parade

Monday, September 1
Meet at 9:00am
Parade begins at 10:00am

Be a part of the energy, fun, and impact as we walk in the Labor Day Parade and represent Good Shepherd to thousands along the route.

Walk, wave, smile, or help with float logistics—every role matters. Limited spots available!

Let's Make a Joyful Impact Together!

Let’s be bold in faith, generous in service, and united in love as we bring the Church to the heart of our community. We’re not just attending an event. We’re showing OUR NEIGHBORS what it means to love like Jesus.

Looking forward to seeing you there! If you have questions, send us an email.
