Jenn Anderson
Hello! My name is Jenn Anderson and I am honored to be the Children's Ministry Minister! Way back in the 90’s I attended a small, all-girls, private college in downtown St. Louis. Coming from a hometown of population 4,000, St. Louis was a huge culture shock for this country girl! I returned home after college and worked various jobs, not really content with any of them.
In 1997 I met a guy. He was everything I wanted him to be, except that he lived downtown Chicago. (flashbacks to St. Louis!) A short year later, we were engaged and I had an apartment in Lincoln Park! As soon as my lease was up and we were married, we relocated to the suburbs and began our life together. Twenty-three years later, Tom and I are blessed with two amazing teenagers. Megan is a senior and is excited to begin her own journey in ministry. Bradley is a sophomore and lives his best life on multiple athletic teams.
I came on staff in 2004 as the Nursery Coordinator. Since then I have had the opportunity to work with many teams, some being New Members, Good Shepherd Preschool, Children’s Ministry, and Student Ministry. I have loved every avenue, but pre-teen ministry currently holds my heart!
When I’m not at 1310, I can be found working jigsaw puzzles with Megan, watching whatever sport Bradley is playing, or planning the next adventure with Tom! I also have an extensive collection of cookbooks; if you are ever interested in a recipe exchange, I’m your girl!
