Justin Rauh
Hey Everyone!
My name is Justin Rauh, and I have the privilege of being the Children's Ministry Engagement Coordinated at Good Shepherd. I Graduated from Taylor University in 2014 majoring in Christian Educational Ministries and minoring in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies. I married the love of my life, Samantha Rauh in 2022 and now have a beautiful 16 month old daughter named Lucy. We also just recently welcomed our newest member into our family, a 2 year old dog named Sasha. I am always down for doing anything active, especially if it is outdoors! If you ever want to go hiking, fishing, frisbee golfing, playing tennis, or anything else, let me know and I would gladly join you! I also am a huge fan of board games and am always up for a game night!
Over the past 10+ years I have been given the opportunity to serve in many different areas of ministry. I have worked in camp ministry, para-church ministry while serving with Youth For Christ, and most recently was employed as the director of family ministries at Fox Valley Christian Church in Batavia. In each of these positions, God continually filled my heart with joy as I saw our little ones (children and students) begin their journey walking with Jesus. He also consistently grew my heart for those I was able to serve with, caring for and walking alongside our parents and volunteers as they impacted more lives than I ever could. It is these two reasons that made this position at Good Shepherd perfect for me!
Overall, I have a huge heart for God's people, no matter the age. I long to see people take their next steps with God. My hope is that every single person that enters Good Shepherd Lutheran Church leaves knowing that they are loved by God and by all those they meet. God moves and speaks in many ways, but I believe it is by truly understanding His love for us that we open the door for deeper communion with God.
