2022-2025
Hi, my name is Scott Diehl, and my family has been at G-Shep for about 10 years (7 years officially). My wife Lori and I are both life-long Lutherans, and although I was raised LCMS, I was “converted” in 1995 when were married at Faith Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn. In my 6 decades as a Lutheran, I’ve served as Asst. Sunday School Superintendent (with my dad), Council Member, Choir and Praise Band Member, and Youth Mentors at both Good Shepherd and previously Our Saviours in Naperville.
I’m excited and honored to be called to serve on GShep’s council. Our wonderful church is on a path to grow together in Christ during what will be an exciting, busy, evaluative time for reflection, change and building on our rich history to follow God’s voice to become what He intends for us all. Our job is to listen for that voice. I’m so encouraged by the way I see God at work at Gshep in everything we do, for our community, our congregants and the greater global community through our various ministries and missions.
The Diehls are a “lake life” family. Since over two-thirds of the earth is covered, we figure God wanted us to enjoy it. In the (short) summer here in the Midwest, we spend a lot of our time skiing, tubing and wake-surfing behind our boat.
