Tom Anderson
Good Shepherd has been my family's church home since 2005. With my wife, Jenn (also on staff), and I both having grown up in downstate Illinois (Peoria and Beardstown), finding a church community was important to us when we moved to Naperville.
After graduating from the University of Illinois, I had a wonderful career in Management and IT consulting with both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Accenture. It is now clear to me that God used those 20 years to prepare me for an even greater purpose - my role here at Good Shepherd. In the summer of 2017, I became our church's COO. As a leader of this church, my role is to help support all of the amazing ministry that happens at 1310 Shepherd Drive. My day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing Finance, HR, Communications, the Facility, the Preschool, the Cornerstone Cafe, and most recently, Missions and Benevolence. We have a wonderful team, and it brings me great joy to serve alongside them!
Jenn and I thoroughly enjoy raising our two teenagers, Megan and Bradley. They are both at Naperville Central High School and stay busy with extracurriculars. When she's not making milkshakes at Chick-fil-a, you can find Megan regularly serving in Sparks, Fuel, and Ignite as she explores a calling to become a youth pastor. In between soccer, wrestling, and baseball, you can always find a fishing rod in Bradley's hands.
In my downtime (i.e., when I'm not coaching, cheering for, or shuttling the kids), I enjoy the outdoors, typically being outfished by my son.
