Shepherd's Heart 3/6/25
Excited for Feed the Need Weekend!
We are thrilled to come together this weekend for Feed the Need, an incredible opportunity to unite as a community and partner with over 40 faith-based and business organizations. Together, we’ll make a global impact by providing 800,000 life-saving meals to children around the world.
At Good Shepherd, we’re not just participants; we’re leaders in this mission. We’ve pledged 15% of the total volunteers needed for the event. While there will be more than 4,000 total volunteers helping to pack meals, our goal is that 600 of those will come from our own congregation. We are proud to have Matt Hebel serving as the FTN Chair, alongside his leadership team: Sandy Keefe, Sherilyn Hebel, Brian Petzold, and Andrew Dewar. Please keep them in your prayers this weekend.
Our involvement goes beyond just giving our time. Financially, Good Shepherd has already committed nearly 10% of the total funding required to make this mission a reality. These numbers aren’t just statistics—they represent lives transformed. Through our collective efforts, we’re doing more than feeding children; we’re offering hope, dignity, and a chance for a brighter future. Thanks to Feed the Need, 2,200 children will receive a nutritious meal every day for an entire year. This is the incredible power of our partnership.
We often talk about the power of community, but this is where it truly comes to life—when our hands, hearts, and faith unite to be the hands and feet of Christ. While the global need can seem overwhelming, when we come together in Jesus' name, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
As the Feed the Need MobilePack approaches, I invite you to participate in any way you can. Whether through volunteering, giving financially, or lifting us up in prayer, your contribution makes a difference. Together, we’re changing lives, bringing hope, and sharing God’s love both locally and globally.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible mission. With God’s help, we are changing lives—one meal at a time.
