Kingdom Culture: The Way of Jesus in a World of Noise
A Summer Journey Through the Sermon on the Mount
What if Jesus didn’t just come to get us into heaven, but to bring heaven to us?
What if following him wasn’t just about right belief, but about learning a whole new way to live?
This summer at Good Shepherd, we’re diving into Jesus’ most famous teaching, the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7). These aren’t just nice sayings or spiritual soundbites. They are Jesus’ Kingdom manifesto: a vision for what life looks like when God's reigns and shapes our hearts, our relationships, and our priorities.
In a world that pushes performance, fear, and division, Jesus calls us into a different kind of life, one formed by mercy, trust, forgiveness, honesty, and love.
Because here’s the truth:
Christ can’t just be our Savior. He also has to be our Teacher too.
He didn’t only die for us, he showed us how to live and expects us to follow him in his Way.
What to Expect
Each week, we’ll walk through one key teaching from the Sermon on the Mount:
But we don’t want this series to stay in your notes or on a Sunday morning, we want it to live in your bones. So alongside each theme, we’re inviting you into a practice that helps form Christ in you.
Practices to Try This Summer
Start with one. Try a few. Let the Spirit shape you.
This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about becoming more like Christ.
The Kingdom of God isn’t far off, it’s drawn near in Christ.
So bring your Bible, your hunger, your ache for something deeper.
Let’s step into Kingdom Culture, together.
