We want everyone to feel like they belong at Good Shepherd, starting the moment they walk in the doors. Our goal in children and family ministry is to partner with families as the primary discipleship influence in the life of a child and help every child grow in wisdom, in stature, in favor with man, and in favor with God.
To help children find community and get connected, we provide dedicated ministry on Sunday mornings and Tuesday nights during the school year, and community events all year. If you'd like to stay together as family on a Sunday morning, that’s more than welcome too!

Children's
Programs
GS Kids
3 year olds through 3rd grade • Sunday mornings during services at 9:00am and 10:45am
GS Kids is the place where kids can come as they are and meet new friends, be with their favorite leaders, and encounter Jesus in a personal way.
We’ll have large group time and small group discussion time along with age appropriate games and activities during our 70 minutes together on Sunday mornings.

Club 45
4th & 5th graders · Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00pm during the school year
Club 45 is our midweek ministry for 4th and 5th graders: a place to have fun, dig into the Bible together, and build friendships with other kids their age. Each week, your preteen will explore topics that matter to what they're going through right now, all wrapped up in fun.

Communion Instruction

We believe that the sacrament of communion is one way for us to receive God's love and grace. Anyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior is welcome to receive communion at Good Shepherd. Because this is a theological moment in our worship, we offer formal instruction for children 4th grade and older to understand the personal significance of the Lord's Table.
Communion Instruction is offered annually in November. Register at the link below!

Baptism is an important sacrament we celebrate as a Lutheran Church. We'd love to explain what we believe, answer questions, and prepare you for the baptism of your child.
This introduction class focuses on:

Note: This class is designed for children in kindergarten or younger. If you’re interested in baptism for someone older than kindergarten, please reach out to our Family Life Team.
